Gang Suppression Unit Makes Arrest
As part of an on-going narcotics investigation, the Burbank Police Gang Suppression Unit executed a search warrant on the residence located at 7858 Natoma Ave., Apt. 1D earlier this month. Police allege Zachary Riddle, age 28, was found in possession of controlled substances. He was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Cannabis. Riddle was sent to the Cook County Criminal Court Building at 26th & California for a bond hearing where a judge released Riddle on a recognizance bond ($10,000.00). Riddle's next court date is October 29th at the 5th District Courthouse in Bridgeview.
Police Officer Involved In Traffic Accident
A Burbank Police officer was involved in a traffic accident Thursday near the intersection of 83rd St. and Normandy Ave. Police spokesperson Division Chief Mike Dudlo said the officer was trying to catch up to a vehicle he suspected to be involved in a traffic infraction when the officer's squad car collided with another vehicle. Both the officer and driver of the other vehicle were transported to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The vehicle the officer was pursuing was never stopped or located. The traffic accident is still under investigation.
