Police were dispatched to the restaurant around 1:49 a.m. on April 22 for reports of shots fired. All suspects had fled the area by the time officers arrived and no arrests were made.
The episode started when three men entered the business and ordered food. Witnesses told police the men were acting nervously and pacing the restaurant while waiting for their order.
According to Division Chief Mike Dudlo of the Burbank Police Department, a white Ford Fusion or Nissan Altima began circling the parking lot after the men entered.
The men were described as Hispanic males and police believe at least two of the men were armed with handguns.
The shooting began after the trio received their order and exited through the restaurant’s west doors.
“Two of the three men were observed firing handguns towards the white vehicle as it was in the parking lot. It is believed the white car returned fire,” Dudlo said.
There were no reports of injuries. The building reportedly sustained minor damage.
Witnesses told police the white car fled eastbound on 87th Street. Dudlo said no one saw the three men leave or the vehicle they were driving.
Police recovered nine .40-caliber casings from the parking lot.
Dudlo said investigators are reviewing surveillance videos and traffic cameras in the area.
