Officers responded to the PNC Bank located at 4900 W. 87th St. regarding an armed robbery about 6:00 p.m. Friday evening.
According to Division Chief Mike Dudlo, the suspect entered the bank and handed a teller a note claiming he had a gun and demanding money. After the teller gave the man an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect fled the bank eastbound.
Dudlo said “No one was physically injured and a weapon was never displayed.”
An extensive search of the area by Burbank police with assistance from Oak Lawn officers turned up no sign of the offender.
Dudlo said the FBI was notified and is assisting in the investigation.
Update Saturday at 7:00 p.m.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 30-40 years old, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, with facial hair. He was wearing a blue ball cap and grey sweatshirt.

Search Warrant Leads To Arrest Of Juvenile
Officers arrested a juvenile, who police believe to be a gang member, and recovered about 40 grams of marijuana - packaged and ready to sell.
The identity of the juvenile is being withheld because of his age.
