The Burbank Police Department announced that it will be accepting applications for entry level police officer positions.
Applications can be obtained at the Burbank City Clerk’s Office, 6530 W. 79th St. and will be available from Monday, Mar. 31, 2014 through Monday Apr. 14, 2014.
Completed applications and required documents must be filed by 5:00 p.m., Monday, Apr. 14, with the City Clerk’s Office along with a $50 non-refundable application fee.
An entry level police officer can expect a starting yearly salary of $53,641. Benefits include hospitalization, uniform allowance, paid vacation and sick days, and academic achievement pay.
To be considered, candidates must possess the following qualifications:
All applicants must attend a mandatory orientation session on Saturday, May 03, 2014, 8:00 a.m. at the Reavis High School Auditorium, 6034 W. 77th St., Burbank. A written and physical fitness tests will be held immediately following the orientation.
