A Burbank teen was shot early Monday during an apparent drive-by shooting. The shooting happened about 2:14 a.m. in the 8000 block of S. Melvina Avenue.
According to a statement issued by the Burbank Police Department, an unnamed 19 year-old man was shot once in the left leg as he was walking in the area by an unknown gunman riding in the rear seat of a white car.
The car was last seen speeding south on Melvina Ave. and is described as a late model, mid-size, 4-door sedan, with tinted windows.
The teen was transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn with what police said were non-life threatening injuries.
Burbank police believe the shooting to be gang related.
