| Burbank Park District will host the annual Independence Day Celebration on Saturday, July 2 at Michael Looney Park, 77th Street and Narragansett Avenue. Planned festivities include a pie eating contest for all ages, a horseshoe tournament for adults, and a bean bag tournament. The park district has many attractions planned for children which include pony rides, carnival games, climbing wall, petting zoo, face painting, and an inflatable moonwalk. Fees for the attractions vary between 1 to 4 tickets. Ticket prices are as follows:
Wristbands for unlimited use of all attractions (except for carnival games) are $18 but an “early bird” wristband can be purchased between 4:30-5:30 p.m. for only $13. Activities for the adults include Bingo, a beer garden and D.J. music. Food will be available for purchase from various vendors as well.
