The Burbank Cole Taylor Bank branch, 5501 W. 79th St. was robbed Wednesday afternoon about 4:00 p.m.
Burbank Division Chief Mike Dudlo said the offender handed an employee a note “demanding money or he would shoot.” The teller complied and the suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The man never displayed a weapon and no one was hurt. He was last seen running southbound on Linder Avenue.
According to the Sun-Times Media Wire, the FBI believe the suspect is the same man who recently robbed two other suburban banks.
The man is believed to have robbed the Metro Bank branch at 7025 W. Roosevelt Rd. in Berwyn on Tuesday and the Metro Bank branch at 8744 Ogden Ave. in Lyons last Friday.
According to BanditTrackerChicago.com, the suspect is described as Hispanic male, 18-20 years old, about 6 feet tall, with short black hair, brown eyes and a thin build. Burbank police say the man was wearing a black baseball cap and had an "Air Jordan" tattoo on the right side of his neck.
A reward is being offered for information leading to his arrest. Anyone with information should contact the FBI Chicago office at 312-421-6700 or leave a tip at BanditTrackerChicago.com.
