More than a dozen juveniles and one adult were cited when Burbank police were summoned to a disturbance at the Budget Inn & Suites Motel, 8450 S. Cicero Ave.
Police were dispatched about 12:15 a.m., Sunday, Dec. 28 after a caller reported multiple teens that appeared to be drinking in the parking lot and in a guest room of the motel.
When officers arrived, they found numerous people in the room — including many who appeared to be high school age. After questioning, police determined that 13 of the room’s occupants were juveniles.
The minors were released to their parents and issued citations for violation of curfew.
Weekend curfew hours in Burbank begin at 11:00 p.m. Saturday night and run until 6:00 a.m. Sunday morning.
Police identified Gregorio Gamboa, 21, of the 4900 block of South Knox Ave., Chicago, as the man who rented the room. Gamboa was issued an ordinance citation for contributing to the criminal delinquency of a juvenile and is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 2.
Other occupants of the room over the age of 18 were released without charges.
