An alleged sexual rendezvous that went awry at a Burbank motel last week resulted in the arrests of Valtrez Stewart, 33 of Chicago and Abryana Mabry, 18 of Dolton, Ill.
According to a police report, Chicago officers observed Valtrez Stewart and another man arguing in the area of the 8400 block of South Cicero Avenue shortly after 5 p.m. on Feb. 26.
The man told Chicago police he was at the Aloha Motel, 8515 S. Cicero Ave., Chicago, when he received a call from his girlfriend, Abryana Mabry, alleging Stewart had stuck a gun in her face in a room at the Budget Inn & Suites Motel, 8450 S. Cicero Ave., Burbank.
The man said Mabry told him that Stewart left the Budget Inn walking southbound. The man left the Aloha Motel to go looking for Stewart and encountered him along Cicero Avenue. Chicago police said the men were in a heated confrontation when they arrived.
Upon searching Stewart, Chicago police discovered a black pistol-style BB gun in his back pocket. Police transported both men to the Budget Inn where they were met by Burbank police units.
Stewart told police he met Abryana Mabry, known to him as “Chocolate,” through the classified advertising website Backpage.com. Stewart said he had a lot of contact with prostitutes on the website and talked to many of them frequently.
Mabry told police she posted ads on Backpage.com and other websites for “massage” services.
Stewart said he began communicating with Mabry by text and through phone calls and told her he wanted to have sex with her but needed to know how much she charged. Stewart said she told him she charged $50 for a “quickie” and $100 for a half-hour of sex.
Stewart told police he arranged for a “quickie” and told Mabry he would let her know if he wanted to extend his time after seeing her in person.
According to Mabry, she arranged to meet Stewart at the Budget Inn. When Stewart arrived, she told him to come to room 17 and greeted him at the door wearing pants and a bra.
In a statement to police, Mabry said Stewart sat on the bed, pulled his pants down a little and took out his penis. Mabry said she straddled Stewart while holding a condom.
Mabry said she began to kiss his stomach after Stewart told her he wanted her to “bite off his belly button.” Mabry related that she thought this request was strange but had dealt with a lot of people with strange fetishes.
Mabry said she began to perform oral sex on Stewart when he again requested she “bite his belly button off.” Mabry said she started to bite and nibble around Stewart’s belly button when she heard a “click” and looked up to see Stewart pointing a handgun at her head. Mabry said she told Stewart he could have whatever he wanted, just leave her alone.
Mabry said Stewart continued to point the gun at her and told her to continue giving him oral sex. After a few minutes, Stewart told Mabry to give him his $50 back. He then placed his penis back in his pants while still wearing the condom she provided.
Mabry said Stewart told her not to call the police and then fled the room. After Stewart left, Mabry said she called her male friend at the Aloha Motel.
In a statement to police, Stewart said he keeps a BB gun in his pocket when he goes to meet prostitutes due to being 'beat up in the past.' Stewart told police he did not take the BB gun out from his pocket while Mabry was in the room and thought Mabry spotted the gun in his back pocket when he first entered the room.
Stewart said that he gave Mabry $50 for “quickie sex” and requested she kiss, nibble and bite his belly button area. Stewart said Mabry told him she needed more money before she started and demanded $75. According to Stewart, he told her that was not the deal they had made on the phone and the two began to argue.
According to Stewart, he was erect and wearing the condom that Mabry provided when he “lost concentration” and got off the bed. Stewart said he grabbed his money and tried talking to Mabry to see if she wanted to continue for $50 but when she did not give him an answer, he put his penis back in his pants and left the room.
Stewart told police that at no time did he force Mabry to perform sexual acts on him or point a weapon at her to perform sexual acts.
A Burbank police evidence technician recovered the condom from Stewart’s clothing while in the Burbank lockup facility. The condom was recovered from sweatpants Stewart was wearing under the pants he had on during the incident.
Mabry advised Burbank police that she did not wish to pursue charges against Stewart for aggravated criminal sexual assault. Burbank police charged Stewart with solicitation of a sexual act — a Class A misdemeanor.
Burbank police discovered Stewart was wanted by the United States Marshal’s Office on a warrant out of Atlanta, Ga. for failure to report upon release from prison. After appearing at the Bridgeview courthouse for a bond hearing, Stewart was turned over to a deputy U.S. marshal and transported to the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Chicago where he remains in custody.
Burbank police charged Mabry with prostitution — a Class A misdemeanor, for soliciting sex for money. She is scheduled to appear in court Mar. 16.
