The Burbank Police Department announced they arrested David W. Earner, 43, of Burbank last week for violating the sex offender registration act. A police source said this was Earner's second arrest this year for violating the act.
The following information was posted on the Burbank Police Facebook page:
"The Burbank Police Department have arrested David Earner for violating the Sex Offender Registration Act. Earner; who is a registered sex offender and has been registering with this department as homeless, was placed into custody on Tuesday, June 3rd, when he came in for his weekly registration. Prior to Earner coming in for his weekly registration, investigators began an address verification of locations which Earner listed as places he had been staying. One of his reported addresses was 8325 S. LeClaire Avenue which is located across from Harr Park - a violation of the Act. Several other addresses reported by Earner were fraudulently reported to this department. As a result, Earner was charged with three counts of violating the Sex Offender - Failure to Register statute (all Class II felonies). Earner was brought to the Bridgeview Courthouse on Thursday, June 6th and brought before Judge Felice who set Earner's bond at $250,000. Earner's next court date is June 23rd."
The Illinois Sex Offender Information website shows Earner was convicted in Cook County for the crime of Criminal Sexual Abuse and states "victim was 4 years of age, offender was 39 at the time of the offense."
The Cook County Department of Corrections inmate locator website indicates Earner is currently being held in the Cook County Jail.
